Re: NLP and Smoking

Dear Dale,
   Your request for information on quitting smoking caught my interest. I
have just published a book on early recovery from addiction called Sobriety
Demystified: Getting Clean and Sober with NLP and CBT. The book integrates a
number of strategies and approaches. One of the better descriptions of the
process of recovery I discovered during the research for the book. It comes
from the work of Prochaska and DiClemente who specifically studied smokers
and came up with a "stage" or "step" theory of recovery. Once you have
identified where you are along their stages of recovery, it becomes easier to
identify what strategies will be most effective to assist you along the way.
   I regret to say that we are in the midst of a move, and all my resources
are packed away in boxes, limiting my ability to provide more information;
however, my book is available from Kelsey & Co. Publishing for $14.95 plus
$2.50 shipping. If you are interested, we are at P.O. Box 1138, Santa Cruz,
CA 95061-1138.
   Keep up the good work.
   Warmly,
