Deletions
Cheryl, Hi
>>I am new to NLP [...]<<
Welcome, welcome. On behalf of the management and the rest of the personell I'd
like to express my sincere desire that you'll enjoy your stay. Please find a
complimentary bottle of Cava Brut Zero in the cooler...
(Oops... How did I get into this role...?)
>>Tony, as a popularizer of NLP, has introduced a boat-load people
to this field [...]<<
Ladies and gentlemen! Dear boat-people, welcome, welcome. May I, on behalf of
the management...
(Huh...? I did it again...?)
>>These people may take your trainings or be potential
clients. They are people this discussion list does not reach. <<
They're welcome too! Let the list's address be known to masses!
>>[...] I also feel that
Tony's work as a controversial popularizer of NLP cannot be
diminished as a point of beginning.<<
Speaking a bit more seriously, now. If you should read my post again, and maybe
Patrick's question -to which it was an answer- then you may find that I may not
at all hold the opinion that you seem to ascribe to me. Maybe it's even more
like the opposite... Anyway, I was making fun of a deletion which appears in a
wild claim quoted by Patrick Merlevede and which was attributed to a certain
Donovan.
Apparently this Donovan claimed that "[...] he is "better" than Anthony
Robbins." If you claim to be 'better' without stating 'at what', you're making
a
claim that can't be refuted. It's like scoring a goal when the other team is
having a break. Very easy, but sort of nonsensical all the same.
But I'll set things straight:
I hereby solemnly declare that Tony is better than most. Maybe even better than
most of the best! And among them are some of the most noteworthy professionals
in their field! Even when comparing the contents of unmentioned elements from
their very courses, Tony comes out as better to a convincing degree.
Poking fun at deletions. To avoid misunderstandings: I have nothing against
Anthony Robbins. He seems to be a kind man and if he should drop by in
december,
I'm sure we could have a great time peeling tangerines.
Kind Regards,
Rene Duba
