Quantum Healing
This weekend I attended the first of the Quantum Healing workshops
The content of this mail is a representation of my own subjective
experience and interpretations of course, so NOT the dictionary
definition!
Quantum Healing is a modality expanded from NLP and Erickson
Patterns by Dick Harbers who trained with McLendon & Assocs
I recently suffered a bereavement, my huge tax rebate that was
approved by the Aussie tax dept was suddenly unnapproved cos I'm not
Australian enough to get the tax free threshold, thus scuppering my
plans to take the Erickson training myself
However bonuses are that I will instead be able to take more of the
QH trainings.
Over this weekend Dick took us through elicitation of storage of
various eye accessing locations and timelines, creating maps that
were somewhat disjointed to say the least. Interspersed with this he
took us through trances (quite profound ones often) ala Milton, to
reorder said systems into a more optimal patterns. I could explain it
as teaching the mind to store things in an easily accessible way,
reduce stress of accessing, AND along the way close the 'open files'
of issues by acknowledging them and seeing what imagery or
kineasthetics or whatever (in one case olfactory) then occur. Moving
along this way until a level of comfort or closure is felt.
The idea being that we are constantly holding unresolved issues on
the 'screen' and having too many files open all at once. Of course this
is simply another 'useful set of presuppositions' which are designed
to get the desired results. Just like NLP. Its like a spring clean
for the mind, putting things back into a useful place and freeing up
the internal computer system by dealing with unprocessed material.
While Dick uses standard timeline patterns and eye accessing
positions as a suggested template, it is NOT a case of him saying
"this is right, that is wrong". Rather he guides the minds of the
participants to find their own optimal processing/locations.
There was also a very interesting chakra balance using 'the present
moment' and timelines out of each chakra in turn, which to me seemed
to correspond to promoting processing at different parts of the body.
Perhaps this corresponds also to work like Feldenkrais or Rolfing,
where different parts of the body are considered to hold different
energetic/attitudinal issues, as much as the mind does.
I certainly experienced, as I said, my first directly Erickson based
trance states, and no I didn't know exactly what was goin on. He had
an excellent trance tonality and rhythm, which I recognised as being
my own trance technique, however he was certainly using other means.
And I had some wild dreams and deep sleeps during the nights, and
some incredible REM processing during the workshop.
I feel different, more relaxed and balanced. Further results will be
posted with my review of QH 2 next week
