Re: Photoreading validation?

Karl Kirsten,

Thank you for your concern about my feelings.

There was no offense taken and I supposed you meant none. We are
simply adults exchanging ideas. I thought I pretty well explained my
belief and understanding of the photoreading process. And it seems
to me that you did the same. Then, after my explanation, you
maintained your original position, therefore, one might conclude that
we disagree.

I frankly don't care if scientific studies tell us that photoreading
works or it doesn't work. I only care that my implementation of it
works. I evaluate it for myself. If a man (or Dr - and I may have
been incorrect about the title, no probs here) achieves certain
results with a process and I want those results, I am willing within
reason to suspend disbelief (more on that in a moment) and make it
work. If after a suitable timeframe, I have or have not achieved the
desired outcome(s), then I'll adjust my approach.

Actually, for me, it comes down to this:

If you think you can or you think you can't, you are right!

For any of you who are more scientific minded than I (which is
probably the majority), is it necessary for the scientific method to
suspend disbelief or should one remain skeptical until the evidence
supports the hypothesis?

Since we have probably beat up this scientific discussion issue,
please disregard the above paragraph unless you are just determined
to (read religously devoted to) spread the scientific gospel.

Warning! We'll soon know who you are *8^)

Kind Regard,
Patrick Farrell
