Let me try my hand at reframing;
Would you have had the same reaction if that message appeared on
the wall of an STD/AIDS Clinic??
I agree with Patrick "Having fun is a very subjective thing."
Just because something is fun doesn't make it the right.
Here in Australia, Ivan Milat (the Backpacker Murders.) would pick
up people after work and rape and murder them. He even boasted to
a cellmate how he "took strength from their fear."
Recently in Cairns, a group of teenagers left an all-night party.
On their way home they stole a car. The car tore in half when they
hit a tree. The accident left one dead and severely injured the
others.
A week later I spoke to one of the girls who was at the party
that night, and asked her how she felt. She replied "It's not fair,
they were only trying to have fun!"
Would it be unrealistic to suggest a quick future pace when deciding
what is FUN?? That way you could probably prevent any trouble that
may result.
I think the sign you saw was probably trying to say; "hey be careful
when you have fun as it COULD lead to trouble". In that case it would
be accurate and useful.
As the old saying goes "look before you leap".
