I agree with "critter"! In practicing NLP we must always remember
that any diagnosis (label) is a nominalization. Diagnosis is simply
a way of pasting a fixed map as a description of a person's
behavior. NLP must operate with a more functional, precise,
reference to the client's map if that map is to be used in the
refinement, restructuring, or resolution of the presenting problem.

sure it makes things easier to recognize if you label something
however
it also makes it much easier to misrepresent things to oneself and
thus overlook opportunities for learning because we have made
general
assumptions rather than looked for individual peculiarities
