This post is something that I've been waiting for in a long time! Finally,
the validation of my thoughts !

Let's see, they say to access the subconscious, you have to be in a trance.
If it's "useful" but not necessary to be in Alpha Brain Wave patterns, how
do trance and Alpha Brain Wave patterns correlate ? Do I produce Alpha brain
waves when in a trance, or am I in a trance when I produce alpha brain
waves. Which is the chicken? Which is the egg? How are the two related ?

I have never tried this before. I have a small device that could entrain the
brain to "go slow" into the alpha and theta regions through photonic
stimulation. But I have never tried the theta setting. Besides, I've been
told that the brain tremendously resists being put in that state from full
consciousness ( I can't tweak the knobs anymore when I'm in alpha) such that
it either tries to bring the frequency up to the alpha state or down to the
delta state. What will I experience if I succeed putting myself into theta?
Will I have visions? Will I see my guardian angel? Will I see spirits? I'm
just very very curious. By the way, does the scope of NLP include the
interpretation of dreams, if as you say, dreams are metaphors?
Peace.
