logic in procedure?

I'm interesting by NLP but the prices of the stages are too high so I just
read books on NLP, have discussion with people that have made stages and the
question is about the logic of the system.
For example in management of human resources when you have an inteview to
got a job is there a procedure an order for NLP techniques or is it just
your feelings and your competences that guide you?
