NLP and stuttering

I'm another newbie, but a basic suggestion would be to re-direct
your thoughts from "helping with stuttering" to "speaking clearly"
(or whatever form of wording is best able to get you most excited
about applying NLP techniques so as to change into an
excellent speaker).
It might be even better to aim at being an excellent,
a superlative speaker. (I think it was Demosthenes - an
ancient Greek - who, like you used to stutter and then practised
and became one of the great speakers of all time.)
As to how to go about this? Well, as you learn new NLP
patterns, if you think about how to apply them so as to
achieve your goal of becoming an excellent speaker, this
will make it more interesting as well as helping you
achieve your goal.
As to specific techniques, you might find it interesting to see
how the 6 step reframe will help.
Best wishes.
