I am taking an NLP Practitioner training where group trance is
utilized. Personally, I think that trance-work will always be better
one-on-one, because its just impossible (well, very hard anyways) to
customize a group induction perfectly to everyone. However, group
trance work can be and is used by many. In this training, the trainer
does not really introduce the process as hypnosis, he just invites
everyone to listen intently to him, and close their eyes if they wish.
he used the milton-model patterns a lot, although I can't really
remember a lot of what he said, I got to the point where I couldn't make
sense of it and gave up, zoned out. Basically it was a lot of process
instructions for learning, change, and getting old material (troubling
memories) out of the way.
I have a tape of this, if you want a bit of it transcribed, let me know
and I'll post it to the list.
By the way, this is my first post to this list, I have just subscribed,
and I hope to remain active on this list and contribute. I'd like to
give a big hello to everyone out there! My name is Kahli Burke and I am
undergraduate psychology major at the University of Colorado at
Boulder. I got into NLP about a year and a half ago, I've read tons of
books on it, and I'm half way through an extended practitioner training
that I'm taking through NLP Comprehensive. I am not an expert in NLP,
but I'm always learning, and wish to expand my knowledge in this and all
areas, as well as help others by contributing my own insight and
information. Feel free to e-mail me directly, or communicate with me
through alt.psychology.nlp or this list.
Bye for now...
