John, I think you have something there. I think the missing element
is what we traditionally consider in adult learning as application
and some experience of results. If standing in the shower in the
morning reciting your normal litany of affirmations doesn't seem to
be paying off, you will eventually quit. People need to know that
what they are doing will work for them. It seems that we can accept
on blind faith many things initially. But, somewhere along the line,
most of us require some proof!

However, if you accept on blind faith that programming yourself for
genius [or anything] will work, and you continually reinforce that
thought by seeking proof from people who have done it, you will
likely be more effective than someone who seeks proof from people who
don't believe it. In other words, you program all your external and
internal communications to reinforce the belief. That process works
every time. Surround yourself with positive reinforcement and
eliminate anything negative. This strategy will carry you until you
begin to experience the results for yourself.

Most people try a few singluar approaches to programming themselves
for genius [since that's the topic...it could easily be success or
photoreading]. When they don't get immediate tangible results, they
say the "Affirmation" process is baloney, nonsense, hype, trickery,
flim-flam, etc. People need something to carry them until they get
the conviction of a "true believer." Religions understand this.

// Pat slaps himself as he realizes he's preaching again....//

Sorry, I get a bit passionate about developing belief in anything.
It's a process....Takes time and repeated correct behavior to become
successful at turning "I think I can" into I know I can."

Consider the words of the great Carl Gustav Jung in his 1938 work,
Psychological Aspects of the Modern Archetype:

Emotion is the chief source of all becoming-conscious.
There can be no transforming of darkness into light
and of apathy into movement without emotion.

I interpret this as meaning, you can tell yourself that you believe
until the cows come home. But, unless you link it to emotion, you
are not going to turn [transform] your 'belief' into BELIEF.

And, you need BELIEF to make genius happen.

Thanks for indulging my favorite activity *8^)

You are all geniuses and can do anything your heart desires.

Kindest Regards,
Patrick

The Return of the magical can only happen with the

The essence of the wizard is tranformation.
