Re: DEMONS and TM!
Colin wrote the (very flameworthy) following:
My "opinion" (I know many will disagree, that is your right) is that
"TM" is VERY dangerous. I personally know of people who have levitated a
couple of feet, and seemingly unrelatedly have had terrible emotional /
spiritual / physical experiences after the fact.
Don't "play" with this "technique". Demons are real and will happily
involve themselves in your life if you give "permission".
Life is not a game.
Hmmm
Well, my life's a game! :)
Sometimes I forget this and then things get a bit stressfull
But that's just my opinion/experience
I've just started meditating again after years cos my life has been
getting stressful and its helping a lot
Mark is also calming down considerably
He seems impressed by the Yogic flying
I'm not
Its not one of my life goals, know what I mean! :)
Meditation (I don't do TM as I think the Maharishi has got enough
money) seems to connect me to a deeper level of consciousness,
synchronous things start happening, I relate to people better and I
feel more relaxed, clearer and happier
I can't think of any down sides apart from having to take the time to
relax and clear one's mind for 20 mins once or twice a day
Oh yes, there is one down side
I had a friend who did TM some time ago
He told me all about what heppnened, what they taught, and even his
mantra, even though the TM people make you swear to secrecy
And then the following week when I went to visit him I saw a huge bat
winged beast flying away into the grim twilight
on entering his house I found that he had been torn to pieces and his
entrails splashed about the walls
I had a hard time explaining that one to the police I can tell
you!!!!
On a more serious note if Colin reads this far without deleting can
he please tell me (or us) what he means by demons
My definition of demons are aspects of oneself
I used to have a totally negative definition
ie my demons would be my inablity to talk to women, make money,
generally being insecure, my depressions etc
But then later it seemed natural to include under the heading of
demon those aspects of myself where I become highly passionate or
highly creative, and feel fired up
My worldview had some space for negative entities but then I began to
think, what if the world is made up purely of what we believe?
So I decided to stop believing in negative entities regardless of
whether they are real or not
Does that make sense?
To anyone?
:)
Help! :)
